The people there are so friendly and helpful. There is such a huge variety of miniatures available to choose from. Just when you think you've seen it all , you come across more items you've never seen. This is quite literally the place you should go if you like miniatures, cuz they have everything you could ever need.

I was killing time waiting for someone at Firdale Village and was passingly intrigued by the Miniatures part of the name. When I walked in I was amazed by the large selection of supplies for anyone who's decorating or even building a dollhouse from scratch. There are dollhouses in many scales and they can be purchased completely built or in complete kit form. As a former builder of miniatures (oh my misspent youth!) I also appreciated the stock of wood in just about any style I'd want to build freeform buildings and of course, decorate them. (I'd never seen miniature stair pieces you didn't have to make yourself, outside of a magazine)
There also collectible dolls in various sizes. Cars. (I don't remember which maker, I had a fortune I spent on Corgi's back in the day) and probably other things I didn't get around to appreciating.
Oh and the service? Connie, the nice lady who's apparently the C in CJN was very helpful and kind to my neophyte self. I left knowing more than when I entered and the urge to come back when it's time to buy something spectactular for the current miniature builders in my family. I'll definitely be back sooner.
